Discover the best of Rhodes, the Medieval Town and Lindos village! Explore the most popular spots of the island, the medieval heritage of Rhodes Old Town and the beautiful village of Lindos with the Acropolis.
A great opportunity to discover the highlights of ancient and modern day Rhodes during this picturesque orientation tour of the city. Depart with a scenic drive through the modern areas of Rhodes. As you pass by the Mandraki Esplanade, you will see the government buildings, Church of Annunciation built 1925, a replica of the Old Church of the Knights of St John and the deer statues at the entrance of Mandraki port, your driver will then continue up to Monte Smith for panoramic views and photo opportunities of Rhodes and the Aegean Sea and view from the distance the Acropolis of Rhodes with its Ancient stadium nearby built 2nd Century BC.
Next, you will continue on to Rhodes Medieval City. Once your coach reaches the Gate d’Amboise, you will disembark and proceed to the Grand Masters Palace for a guided walking tour. The Palace was built in the 14th century A.D., destroyed in 1856 and rebuilt in 1939 by the Italians in order to accom-
modate the King of Italy, Emmanuel 11 and Mussolini.
You will then walk down the Street of the Knights, where you will see the many inns once occupied by the crusaders. At the end of the street, you will arrive at the Archaeological Museum, formerly the Knights Hospital, the museum was built in 1440 A.D., and is the most well preserved building in the Old City. After the City tour, you set off to Lindos.
You will pass by several small villages before arriving to Lindos, one of the three Ancient Cities on the island of Rhodes.
Lindos is among the island’s most famous villages, and is renowned for its famous Acropolis at a height of 535 feet, the Acropolis offers breathtaking views and photo opportunities of the entire village, including its medieval castle, superb sandy beach and charming white-washed, sugar cubed houses. We must not forget that Apostle Paul also stopped at Lindos after he had left Jerusalem to preach in Europe, today there is a small chapel dedicated to his name at St.PAULS bay which is a small bay next to Lindos bay.
During our visit, we will take a walking tour through the labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets, and past the colourful courtyards and mosaics for which Lindos is famous. Ancient Lindos was the most important town on the Island, and has been inhabited for 5000 years. After our guided tour of the Acropolis, we will walk down to the village of Lindos for a visit to the Byzantine Church of
the Ascension.

dyunginger2024-10-23Well worth it! We booked a 1 1/2-hr tour of Rhodes’ Jewish Quarter through Viator. Our guide Mary was on time, personable, and very knowledgeable. Beyond conveying the facts of Rhodes’ Jewish history, Mary was able to effectively place that within the broader context of Greek history. We had a great experience. We’d recommend her and the tour to anyone with an interest in Jewish history.![]()
Susan W2024-07-13Excellent tour, Excellent guide Excellent tour , Anna was our guide, she was such a lovely person, very knowledgeable and she loves Rhodes, we learned such a lot from her. She tailored the tour to our needs, as one of our family has mobility problems. We ended up at the wine tasting in the old town at Romeos, which was so good, Micheal had great knowledge of the wines we were served, all very good, we had tapas with each wine. We totally recommend this tour, it was excellent and worth every penny, a fabulous way to spend an afternoon in the wonderful old town of Rhodes.![]()

AmyR105382023-10-03Wonderful walking tour of Old Town Jewish Quarter and My husband and I signed up for a tour of the Old Town Jewish Quarter including the synagogue and attached museum. Our guide, Mariana, was fantastic!! She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Jewish community of Rhodes and showed us things we would never have found on our own. Mariana is a mature, thoughtful person who was very easy to spend time with.In addition, she generously took us to see the Christian quarter which allowed us to learn even more about this beautifully preserved area of Rhodes. We thoroughly enjoyed our Viator tour with Mariana and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning about Old Town Jewish Quarter history.![]()
Clive L2023-09-28A learning experience We were gifted the wine tasting by my daughter at Christmas. Although we do drink wine we shop in Aldi, and get the same every week. So we didn’t know what to expect from a wine tasting evening. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We were fascinated by some of the methods of wine making. Especially the wine that is matured under the sea. We learned about the history of Greek wine making and how much of the technique had been lost, but is slowly being regained. My wife explained that she only drank wine with Lemonade. Our host was shocked and said they didn’t have any Lemonade on Rhodes island😀.We were surprised on how much the flavour of the wine and food changed between the different types of wine. All together a wonderful experience we thoroughly enjoyed. We would recommend this for beginners and experienced wine goers.![]()

Michael M2023-03-15A good tour guide of Rhodes and It's Jewish Community She is a wonderful tour guide. She informed us about many aspects of Rhodes which I found very interesting. I wanted to know as much as possible about the old city since my grandparents were born and lived there until moving to the US in the early 1920s. Our tour was made more cumbersome since grandchildren would have rather been at the pool at our hotel. Our guide was very patient. Overall, a wonderful experience.![]()
ana k2023-02-03Amazing We spent 15 days on vacation and by far this company planned the absolute best private tour. Out of season we wanted to have a wine tasting experience and they made it happen. We had a private tasting in the city in a most beautiful private villa. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and super friendly. We recommend this company. Attention to detail was excellent. I am 100% sure all their tours are excellent.
